Can I apply for more than one position in parallel?

Therefore, you need to create your own profile in your candidate cockpit, which you can use for all your applications within our company.
Is it possible to write a final thesis after doing an internship?
In principle, this is possible and often topics arise during internships. However, we cannot give any information about whether it is possible in a specific case, as this must be clarified with the department in question at the appropriate time.
Is it possible to start the internship later than written in the job posting?
The start date can be adjusted slightly after a consultation with the department. You will get more detailed information from the department if you get invited to an interview. Please let us know your availability in your cover letter.

Airbus offers a variety of graduate programmes across its three Divisions: Airbus, Airbus Helicopters and Airbus Defence and Space.
A range of opportunities
For graduates, several opportunities exist, from gaining experience in an international environment to structured entry programmes across different technical and business areas.
Airbus International Graduate Programme
UK Graduate Programme
Applications for our 2018 UK Graduate Programme are now open and will close on 17th November 2017.
Our two year Airbus Graduate Programme (three years for Finance) offers roles within Commercial Aircraft and Defence and Space, and allows you to play a pivotal role in current and future projects. Graduates have an excellent opportunity to learn invaluable skills whilst developing personal and technical abilities. Over the two-three year scheme you will develop a comprehensive understanding of what we do and how we do it; the focused training and structured placements ensure you are fully equipped for your future career in Airbus and can master the type of managerial and technical skills required by Airbus.
It’s not only engineers we are looking for; there are opportunities in Cyber, Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Sales, Project Management and Procurement. Our ranges of roles are located across the UK including the sites in Filton (Bristol) and Broughton (near Chester) for Commercial Aircraft, and Portsmouth, Stevenage and Hawthorn for Defence and Space, the location and business area will be made clear in the job description.
While the programme is structured, it is not rigid, allowing you the chance to tailor your first two years with Airbus, combining a number of rotational placements with specialist training in the UK, as well countries such as France and Germany.
We are looking for high-achieving, motivated graduates who are fluent in written and spoken English. If you meet the required performance level, share our passion for what Airbus does and show a drive for excellence; then this is your chance to be part of the next chapter of our unique and exciting story.

The programme includes core technical and behavioural training elements that will form an integral part of your learning and help you become familiar with the company and its culture.
Placements in Defence and Space allow you to be involved in one of our graduate projects which means you can either work on a short technical project or work with various universities to develop key relationships with future graduates.
Within Commercial Aircraft, graduates are encouraged to study towards professional accreditation and will often be supported financially to do this. It means you could work towards chartered status from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, the IET or the Royal Aeronautical Engineering Society if you’re an engineer. For non-engineers, chartered status can be achieved from bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
You will also have considerable support during the scheme to ensure that your overall learning experience will complement your future career, which could include meetings with your:
- Line/Placement Manager, who will help you with your development journey through recommending training courses, placements opportunities and will work with you to set tasks and objectives
- Graduate Programme Manager, who will ensure you are fully supported through the programme
- Senior Level Career Mentors, to offer guidance and support during your career progression.
- Chartership Mentor (Commercial Aircraft) to help you gain appropriate professional accreditation to aid career progression.

Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) programme
The Airbus Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) programme is a great start to your career because it enables you to gain valuable, paid work experience internationally in a technical or business function.
Assignments are worldwide and typically last between one and two years. They are within one of our technical or business functions including engineering, manufacturing or support functions such as finance, marketing and HR.
We look for highly motivated graduates who are citizens of the EU (including Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and have fulfilled their country’s military service obligations, if required. Ideally, applicants are from an engineering or business school with an innovative mind-set and a deep desire to learn. Some experience working abroad is useful, fluency in English is essential and knowledge of other relevant languages is an advantage.
VIEs can start their work experience at different times of the year depending on specific project requirements. A great range of benefits includes a tax-free salary (€1,200-3,200 per month, depending on country), 2.5 days of paid leave per month, medical insurance and pension contribution.
The VIE programme is run by Business France in conjunction with Airbus. Business France manages all the administrative aspects of the assignment and ensures that the student’s rights are protected.
This 3-year programme offers postgraduate students an opportunity to gain commercial experience working on a research project that contributes towards their PhD thesis.
Do your research with us
The Airbus PhD opportunities offer you the chance to combine research with the development of practical solutions to genuine Airbus needs.
You will be employed by Airbus on a 3-year limited contract, splitting your time between the company and the laboratory: studying, researching and gaining work experience. The research element contributes towards your PhD thesis.
You will need an engineering or business school background and a relevant Master’s degree or equivalent, and can be any nationality.
