Description of the job

Within the Engineering Directorate, in the office of Continued Airworthiness team (5 persons), you will be in charge for keeping the adequate level of safety of ATR fleet by implementation of necessary actions.

Tasks & accountabilities

The main missions of this position consist in:

  • Collect and analyze all occurrences (In-service event, quality issue at production or supplier level, flight test report or engineering alert) which could affect the aircraft airworthiness or passengers safety
  • Report occurrences with potential unsafe conditions to the Authorities (EASA, BEA)
  • Coordinate with ATR departments (Engineering, Program, Quality, Procurement, Customer Services and Safety) the investigations and definition of corrective actions
  • Prepare and update the Airworthiness Review Sheets related to occurrences under his scope of work and present these ARS to Airworthiness Authorities during ARM (Airworthiness Review Meeting)
  • Coordinate the support and respond to Operators queries concerning Airworthiness and Safety topics
  • Respond to Foreign Authorities queries in regards to Continued Airworthiness matters
  • Participate to meetings with Foreign Authorities on Continued Airworthiness matters
  • Prepare project of Airworthiness Directives (data for PAD) for the EASA and/or Foreign Authorities
  • Prepare safety related communications towards operators (AOM)
  • Prepare in cooperation with relevant engineering departments safety operational information towards operators (OEB)
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions on in-service fleet

Required skills

You hold an Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent, with at least 4 years’ experience in engineering and/or Airworthiness.

  • Technical skills : overall knowledge of ATR aircraft systems and operations, experience of occurrence safety assessment, knowledge of applicable regulations (Part 21, CS25 and EU-OPS)
  • Language skills: fluent English mandatory
  • IT skills : Windows Pack Office, Eccairs
  • Soft skills: Ability to work in a team, manage transverse projects, project follow-up “close the loop”, negotiation skills with the Airworthiness Authorities
