Description of the job

A vacancy for a Systems Engineering Support has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe .
The successful applicant will join Engineering Department .

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Systems Engineering process, culture, competency and discipline, on day-to-day business activities, enabled by adequate Methods & Tools (M&T) products and services. This support spans all aspects of the system lifecycle.

From concept development, to operational deployment and operations, until retirement:
Identify the stakeholder for the M&T to be developed and capture their needs and expectations - Identify boundary of the M&T to be developed - elicit and validate requirements whilst considering the complete system lifecycle - design and define possible architectures, in collaboration with IS/IT specialists, considering the functions and other requirements (constraints) - lead M&T modelling using appropriate modelling methods and tools - lead analysis (e.g. performance) - perform trade-off analysis in order to select the best solution fulfilling the requirements - validate architecture - define and manage interfaces requirements - lead verification of the implementation and its interfaces - lead operational and in-service evaluation - lead impact analysis of any design change request during the entire M&T product lifecycle

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level in Engineering
  • Experience in Engineering
  • Experience in Landing Gear and/or hydromechanical systems is required. Experience in customer support activities is highly valued
  • Experience in Project Management
  • English advanced
  • Spanish will be valuable
