Description of the job

A vacancy for a Process and Certification Manager l (m/f) has arisen within NAVBLUE in Toulouse.

The EFB product department manages the EFB application product line, including Flysmart, Charts+ and future EFB products.
You will be responsible for the definition and maintenance of Flysmart and future EFB product line lifecycle processes developed internally by NAVBLUE or based on existing partners' assets related to product development, evolution, improvement and management.
You will be responsible for product lifecycle process creation, reviews, optimization and maintenance, including process for
o Compliance with regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA)
o Customer and market need gathering
o Issue reporting and management
o Backlog creation and release planning
o Requirements gathering and specification
o Testing and configuration
o Delivery

You will report to the Product Management EFB team leader.

Tasks & accountabilities

Product lifecycle process creation, maintenance and reviews:

  • Responsible for product lifecycle process creation, reviews, optimization and maintenance, including process for

o Compliance with regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA)
o Customer and market need gathering
o Issue reporting and management
o Backlog creation and release planning
o Requirements gathering and specification
o Testing and configuration
o Delivery

  • Monitoring and coordinating Navblue and stakeholder compliance with product lifecycle processes.
  • Providing continuous tactical and strategical process improvement proposals, including implementing plans
  • Monitoring and coordinating processes between EFB product department and

o Navblue Tech Office
o Navblue Support

  • Assuring software testing scope and activities
  • Serving as the focal point of contact for the Navblue quality team
  • Responsible for the implementation of processes defined by the Navblue quality management or safety management system
  • Performing root cause analysis
  • Establishing, reviewing and monitoring product-specific KPIs related to software quality
  • Defining and maintaining data quality and interface requirements based on tactical product roadmap analysis and regulations/standards expectations,
  • Managing procedural aspects of the product lifecycle,
  • Ensuring a smooth and efficient communication with other internal and external EFB and aircraft integration stakeholders.

Support Activities:

  • Support Product Management activities related to software quality,
  • Providing support to Production and Support teams (as required).

Other Activities:

  • Acting as Standards Committees technical referent for the product line related to regulatory compliance and changes to the regulatory framework (as required)
  • Key customer visits (as required)

This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Must possess Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training,
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in software development project management (proficiency in in Agile mode is a plus)
  • Experience with Aircraft Integration within EFB
  • Experience in working with external partners or supplier’s activities.
  • Proven skills in process and quality management.
  • Strong coordination and project management skills,
  • Process design experience,
  • Ability to integrate requirements of different types of airlines and regulatory requirements,
  • Strong analytical/critical thinking skills and proven experience in problem solving in difficult technical context,
  • Understanding of competitive market place for Performance and EFB products,
  • Good communication and collaboration skill in multicultural context,
  • Capability to work under pressure and coordination of various parties,
  • Visionary, open minded and agile,
  • Must work effectively with others in a team environment as well as work independently with little supervision, depending on the task at hand.
  • Organized and analytical
  • Advanced level in English
