Description of the job

A vacancy for a Tactical Data Links Integration Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid)). The successful applicant will join TEAMC-TL4 department.

Tasks & accountabilities

The main tasks will be:
Tactical Data Link integration activities for several Ground and Aircraft platforms, through the whole development process:

  • Operational Concept definition, Customer requirements capture, interoperability analysis,
  • Equipment HW and installation requirements specification,
  • Equipment SW requirements specification, interfaces definition with other A/C Systems,
  • supplier agreements and monitoring, equipment configuration control,
  • Rig and A/C test results analysis, problems investigation,
  • Support to system qualification, verification, validation and certification activities.

Develop and integrate Information & Communication System/ Sub-system / Equipment / Component / Module matching the required safety, quality and performance levels according to Airbus systems engineering processes and the needs of our customers.
Ability to identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements - Define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates -Provide sufficient detailed data and information about system elements to enable the implementation consistent with architectural entities as defined in models and views of the system architecture and in accordance with the allocated requirements

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to a Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of Experience in Engineering.
  • Experience in Tactical Data Links – Link 16, VMF, JRE, etc. is needed.
  • Negotiation level in English
