Description of the job
Ground Control Stations comprise different functionalities which offer the capability to command and monitor both manned and unmanned platforms and its mission systems.
Regarding A/V monitoring, these systems display Navigation parameters, the flight plan, health status of the A/V and
Communications links and alerts.
It also provides the human-machine interface to command the A/V and select the phase of flight (take-off, landing, etc...) and change altitude, speed, heading, etc...
With regard to the mission functionality, Ground Control Station offers:
- Mission Planning and Monitoring based on A/V performances
- Command and control of payload sensors as, i.e., electro-optical, infrared and radar.
- Sensor products exploitation.
Since Ground Control Station failures might impact on flight safety airworthiness regulations are taken into consideration in the GCS design as in any other avionics system.
Tasks & accountabilities
The job holder will be responsible for the following:
- Ground Control Systems Design
- High level Software specifications
- Hardware technical specifications
- Equipment acquisition
- Suppliers Management
- Rig Systems Integration
- Support to Qualification activities and
- Support to Certification activities
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Educated to degree level in Engineering
- Experience in NDT Avionics Systems will be valuable
- Experience in Engineering 3-5 years.
- Experience in Project Management
- Spanish & English advanced

- STANAG 4586
- USAR STANAG 4671
- RPAS Operation
- Mission planning systems
