Description of the job

Within the propulsion system division of the ATR Engineering department, the jobholder is the focal point for in-service events and participates in the development missions of the power plant installation:
o You will gather information on in-service events through the customer support department and perform analyses
o You will ensure the changes of the fuel system, as well as the technical relations with the associated suppliers
o According to the needs of the division, you may need to process modifications on other power plant installation systems (engine, power plant installation, propeller and fire protection).

Tasks & accountabilities

Main Activities:

o Airworthiness support:
o Centralising in-service technical issues (propulsion systems scope)
o Analysing them and preparing an action plan
o Supporting the airworthiness department (preparing dossiers for Authorities)

o Development: Ensuring current and future developments in the context of revisions (as per the ATR product policy, obsolescence, regulatory changes and feedback on in-service use).
o Analysing needs and drafting specifications
o Drafting plans, mainly for development, verification and validation (V&V), and certification (including regulatory analysis and discussions with the authorities)
o Ensuring the technical follow-up of suppliers (including drafting the Statement Of Work)
o Defining the system architecture
o Defining ground and flight tests
o Preparing the technical dossier (including the certification dossier).

o Internal support:
o To the production line
o To the documentation department (operational manuals, maintenance manuals)
o To other ATR departments

o External support:
o To customers (providing technical assistance on specific points to support the customer support department)

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Engineer that has acquired at least 5 years of experience in Equipment and System development within the scope of power plant installation. The skills related to the overall integration of propulsion systems (project management, monitoring of suppliers and partners) would be a plus, as well as knowledge of fuel systems. Good knowledge of development, certification processes and airworthiness follow-up Good knowledge of simulation and stress tools (generic tools beyond dedicated software packages). Knowledge of JAR/CS 25 regulations.

Good interpersonal skills Ability to communicate with a wide range of people (externally: authorities, partners, suppliers, customers, etc. or internally: production, quality, procurement, support, etc.) and in a multicultural environment.

English: Read, spoken and written

Proficiency with office tools

You may be required to travel to fulfil some of your duties.
