Description of the job

A vacancy for a AIT Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Munich/Ottobrunn. The successful applicant will join “AIT OTN”.

Tasks & accountabilities


  • Being responsible for the planning and implementation of AIT management in satellite projects and/or optical instruments
  • Being responsible for the planning and monitoring of AIT activities
  • Coordinating and managing the AIT team
  • Being the focal point for subcontractors for all AIT topics
  • Being the focal point for the project managers and the customer for all AIT topics
  • Planning, steering and monitoring all time-related AIT processes
  • Producing AIT-related documents, status reports and presentations
  • Assisting with proposal drafting

Required skills

Job requirements - Qualifications

  • University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar qualifications
  • Several years of experience in the planning and implementation of satellite AIT
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of tests and launch campaigns
  • Knowledge of satellite designs of Earth observation and science satellites
  • Experience in leading and coordinating a team
  • Willing to travel for short business trips and to participate in tests and launch campaigns
  • German and English: fluent/negotiation level
