Description of the job

An internship in Systems Engineering for Beluga XL Cargo Loading (m/f) has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Toulouse (Saint-Martin).

You will join the BTC department, which is responsible for Cabin & Cargo development, procurement and production for the Beluga XL (cabin, cabin furnishings, systems, etc.). During this period, you will be within a team of approximately 60 people, and will work very closely to the product, at the heart of the tests on the aircraft.

This internship will start in September/October 2017 for 6 months.

Tasks & accountabilities

In this context, your main tasks will consist in preparing the Cargo Loading Systems tests and implementing these tests:

  • Writing test requests
  • Preparing tests, with the objective of being the person accountable for the test performed on the aircraft
  • Identifying the appropriate systems.

This role will involve some travel for business within Europe so, you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

  • University-level qualification (2/4 year degree) from a university or an engineering school, specialising in electronics
  • An initial experience in the systems field would be appreciated
  • Systems knowledge
  • Practical experience of electronics testing (in a laboratory) would be an advantage
  • Functional skills: ability to adapt, independent working methods, ability to take the initiative
  • English: advanced level / German: intermediate level / Knowledge of French would be a plus.
