What we do
For exactly 60 years, the Airbus Defence and Space site in Ulm has been the ‘radar stronghold’ in Germany and a centre for international radar technology: the Eurofighter’s on-board radar, border security systems, maritime radar systems as well as radar antennas for satellites are developed and manufactured here.
For the disciplines of Communications and Electronics, the site works closely with local colleges and universities including Ulm University, the Ulm and Neu-Ulm universities of applied science and the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, Ravensburg campus.

Ulm is home to the world’s largest church steeple.
Career and family friendly site
Ulm received the 'audit berufundfamilie' (career and family audit) in 2010.
As part of its participation in the audit berufundfamilie, the company pursues the following goals:
- Creating a culture of appreciation and support for all employees who want to find a good work-life balance
- Recognising both the classic understanding of roles and families as well as the open definition of a family, which encompasses a wide range of cohabitation situations
- Improving the motivation of qualified employees and increasing long-term ties to the company
- Making staff and their managers more aware of the issues involved in improving their work-life balance
